Dream no. 2

I’m sitting at the end of an uncomfortably long table; Prince sits at the other end. We are sitting there and he is talking to me but I can’t understand a single word he says. His voice is both faint and muffled, but what he is saying seems to be very important as he’s gesturing wildly and is quite serious. I put my hands behind my ears to show I can’t really hear him. Somehow I’m planted in the chair, not sure why I don’t just get up and go closer. He finishes talking and looks to me for a reply. I’m at a loss and he feels this. He looks around and then gestures to something on the table next to me. It’s a tin can. I pick it up and he picks one up at his end of the table; they are connected by a long piece of white twine. I can finally hear him. He tells me to smile.
